We spent an incredible Fall day with friends at a winery just across the border in Sandown, New Hampshire called Zorvinos. From its perfectly manicured vineyard to the music-filled patio where you can sip their wines and enjoy cheeses & meats, it’s a slice of Italy in New England.
In fact, when our group carried our vino and cigars over to their 2 bocce courts, I instinctively started speaking with an Italian accent. But if you’re a vinofile, you can hang inside where there are tastings taking place at all times.
Bonus for you Halloween lovers: We took the scenic route to Zorvinos by way of Chester, NH. That quintessential New England town (yup, with a General Store) is in the midst of their 10th Annual Scarecrow Contest. There are (no stretch) 1000 of the most detailed and amazing scarecrows you’ll ever see. From Marilyn Monroe to the flag—raising at Iwo Jima, the creativity is something to see.
If the weather looks good this Saturday, it’s great way to spend the afternoon outside the city. You’ll be back in Boston for any one of the 10 Halloween Parties taking place that night.
